It's just been a week since I arrived yet so many things has happened since!

I really had an interesting week and I cant be more thankful for the many things God has blessed me with!

I really am blessed to have been offered a roof over my head by Pearly's family. Her whole family has been so nice and warm and I really feel so comfortable here :) And, her po po is an amazing cook! A cosy place to stay and yummy food, what more could I ask for?! And I get to see sunrise from Pearly's place in the morning:)

I was first welcomed home with news that my luggage didn't arrive and was left in Muscat. Muscat's the capital of Oman and the place is rocky, without trees:S
Although it was a bit inconvenient, I was actually glad cause the luggage was then delivered to Pearly's place. Too heavy for me to drag it down to KL Sentral..hehe
Nevertheless I really think Oman Air is a good airline, service was very good and they fed me well:D

Wednesday was a new day for me. My first day of real, proper work! Pearly's dad and her dropped me at work, so sweet of them right? Told Pearly, it felt like mummy bringing her child to school. haha.. Had a short orientation that day and I met a new friend, Audrey. She going to London in July so we loads to talk about. And guess what? She stays really near Pearly. Got a lift home and a lift to work from her the next day! So thankful!

Yesterday I got on the Ladies only bus back to Central Market. Thought that was pretty cool:)

Today, I got a lift back from a colleague and as Pearly's parents were out, I prayed that I could catch bus T504 or else I would need to take the cab. Just before my colleague dropped me, I saw the bus in front and ran for it. So blessed to have got up the bus cause Pearly says the bus is very irregular. You have no idea how happy I was :D

It's been an interesting and amazing week so far!

A week of gratitude and thankfulness for God's provision in my life!

Outside the window

I must admit, I've been enjoying the comforts of being at home this year.

But beyond that, I enjoy looking at the many things going on outside from inside :)

On a windy morning, I enjoy looking at the grass in the garden swaying in the same direction of the wind. I don't know why that amuses me but it just makes me smile :)
I am amazed by how the tiny leaf is so strong, bending all over when the wind blows but is alright when the wind stops.

Almost 2 weeks ago, I saw beautiful, colourful tulips in my neighbour's garden from my parent's window. Such bright and lovely colours but today, there were gone :(
(Didnt take a picture though :( )

Also, one evening, I saw my brother walking back home from the window and I ran to get the door for him. He was surprised and I loved that surprised look on his face and the way I replied I have physic powers when he asked how did I know he was back? haha :D

Last last Monday, a police car stopped outside my house. I saw a big dog with a policewoman talking to another policeman who was sitting inside the car. That was a bit scary cause I did't know what was going on :s

Ann and I love looking at the big trees outside her room window. Such a peaceful and calming sight:)

Yesterday's weather was lovely. Rained for a few minutes but nevertheless, it was a cloudy day.
And I love cloudy days.
I enjoy watching the clouds move in the direction of the wind and looking out for clouds that resembles an animal or something else.
I tried recording the clouds moving but nothing seemed to moving in the video. Lol.

I also saw a bird hopping up my neighbour's 45 degrees steep roof and sat on the flat top for a good few minutes. I wondered what was it thinking up there...

Today, I saw a teenage girl who was holding onto her younger brother's hands as they walked pass my house. The boy was probably about 5 years old.
She was in a red coat while he was in a blue jacket.
That put a smile on my face cause it was a really cute and sweet sight... *awwwww*
(Tried to capture that sight but my memory card was left in my computer :/ )

I also saw a pretty ginger cat cross the road and made its way into my neighbour's garden. It actually walked through the gate but left through the bushes. haha

Every time I look out my window, I see the uneven hedges which reminds me that they need trimming. They're out of shape and so much messier than my neighbours. haha

This week, I have something beautiful in my room.

I really like the thick green leaves as I think they really brings out the lovely colours of the roses:)

So BN won the state election again.

The 7th, 7th!! term as CM :S :S :S (that's 7 times 4 years = 28th year)

All I hope and pray now is that conscience strikes those corrupt leaders.
Because of all their evil and selfish ways, there isn't any significant advancement in Sarawak at all. The growth of the state have been stagnant and idle. The leader aren't doing anything for the people and the state, but for their own personal gain!

I don't mind who wins, as long the interest is for the state and people.
And I long for the development of the people living in villages and that they have the opportunity to be educated.

Alice Lau, a first time contester cried when she lost. Her tears shed not because she lost the seat, but because '我输给金钱和政治!' How true!

I believe change will eventually happen. I believe its just a matter of time!

A new beginning!

Tomorrow is and hopefully will be a significant day to me and my state, SARAWAK!
I love my state and I am proud to be a Sarawakian:D

16th April marks the 10th Sarawak state election and also Carey's birthday :)

Having read loads of wall post and some interesting articles online, I too am really excited to know the outcome of tomorrow's election.

I really am praying for a significant change in my state. It's really time that some changes are implemented and new blood is brought into the state government.
New people whom I truly hope are passionate about the welfare of the people and state, those who want to make a difference and who can deliver promises.

I've not registered to be a voter but I've told myself that I will do so when I'm back. In future, if I'm in the country or even in Singapore or another neighbouring country, I will make it a point to go home and vote. I do believe that every vote counts!

I really love my state and would really want to see a breakthrough in the political arena of my state. It really hurts and breaks my heart to know that the land and resources that belongs to the people are being 'owned' by some people who has been robbing the state of what we deserve!

Sometimes I wonder, why are some ministers so corrupt? Where were the promises they made at the start of their campaign? Why were the promises made conveniently forgotten?
Of course I'm sure they are people who stood for election with a passion to serve and make a difference. I do hope that continue to have that passion within them and deliver the promises they've made.

Nath also mentioned that what habits we have now, we'll bring it into our family in future.

So true! It's so important that we reflect on our habits now. Cause if we dont change our bad habits, it'll still be a habit we hold onto even when we have children in future. And of course, I'd like to be a good example to my children. It's quite scary to know how easy it is to influence a child. I want to have well-mannered, polite and well behaved children in future and I will try to be the best example to them :D

I think my emotions has been on a roller coaster ride in the past 2 weeks.

Right now, it's an anxiety attack.

While drying my hair tonight, I realised that the week is almost over and that doesn't leave me with much time before I actually leave this place. Feels like there's still much to do yet time is running out. *panic*

Not being able to sleep now isn't helping :(

Today's trip to London has been the shortest but most interesting one so far. The bus driver took different routes, both to and from London and I saw some really interesting places and boats. On the way back, the bus driver drove along a river, where there were many boat houses. And they were colourful boat houses, lined neatly next to each other in a long row.

Weird as it might sound, but I love going to markets here. Today I went to Borough Market. Made my day!! There were so many things on sell there, lots of food stalls, one selling curries, thai green chicken, seafood curry, venison curry, duck confit burger, crepe with smoked ham, wild rockets and brie, pasta, loads of cheese, fish, meat, bread, sausages, cakes, pies, fruits and a stall selling many many different types of mushrooms. There was a fruit juice stall that sold wheatgrass juice. A shot of wheatgrass = 3 days of greens!

I walked out the market a happy girl:))) Wish I could buy and eat everything there! Everything looks so yummy! :D

Having spoke to an audit manager from EY Malaysia today, the desire of wanting to stay here is stronger than yesterday. She mentioned that ICAEW is growing in Malaysia, but I'm sorry, I don't see how the Big 4 firms are helping their audit associates pass their ICAEW exams. I know it's tough studying and working at the same time but how is the firm helping when it seems like the firms are always faced with a shortage of staff and work their staff like crazy? She also mentioned that during peak periods, sometimes you might work till 1,2 am! And you're expected to work on Saturdays as well. With such long working hours, you really can't expect too much from students who are studying as well.
The idea of such a working life isn't appealing at all:(

The author of a book I read said job hunting is worst than being in prison because life is so uncertain during that time. I concur!

But it's okay, job hunting is part of life:) It'll end at some point.

Today, Isabel told me that her dream was to work for one of the Big 4 firms. She's achieved it now and is working for EY KL. Really happy for her:)

I wondered why didn't I have such a dream...hmmmmmm...

I guess the top 10 firms would do for me:) Oh, I just found out this week that probably up till the top 20 accounting firms in UK have offices worldwide too!
But I know where I'd like to work. Canary Wharf! Some day, I hope:)

Today, I started filling the longest application form ever! 11 questions from UHY Hacker Young! I have no idea why would a mid-tier firm want to know so much about me.

Speaking of that, the application forms for UK and Malaysia are quite different. UK firms wants to know about me, about my skills and examples when I have demonstrated such skills. The Malaysian firm's form, which I filled today focused more on what I know about the firm.

One more thing, UK websites are very user-friendly. You can get almost everything you want to know off the firm's website. Obtaining information from Asian websites on the other hand can be such a pain :s

I miss Cardiff's water! :(

Flowers are blooming and the sakura trees, the tree with white flowers (no idea what's it called) and daffodils just makes the park so much prettier now. And makes me happy too:D

Was at Wilkinson's today and saw all the gardening stuff. Didnt realise the amount of fruits and veg we could plant at home now. Looks fun and exciting! I wanna plant herbs.

I'm back in my favourite place in UK!!
I really love Cardiff!! I feel so at home here in a different way as my family's in Bristol. I guess it's cause I have another big family here:DDD

FOD 8 was good and I thought the dikir barat this year was amazing. Stephanie's Chinese dance was pretty good too cause it has a mixture of 3 parts:)

By the way, my lil girl said the cutest thing on Sunday. Mui said, if you don't get a job in Cardiff, you wouldn't be able to meet your Welsh guy. hahaha... I told her that one day if I ever marry a British, he must be Welsh. That's how much I love Wales!

The last time I came back, it snowed and I was holed up in Ann's room for 5 days.
Thinking that I would be able to spend more time with my friends this time, I was really looking forward to this trip. But, since Saturday till today, the furthest I've gone was City Road, dinner on Monday and yesterday, Lidl. A bit sad..
Think my friends assume I'm having fun but I've also been doing some work. I've been in the library doing my work for the last 3 days as I had to prepare and Ann needs to study too.

I'm so thankful that I got an email on Monday to say that I've been invited to a phone interview with Santander. I just had it 10 minutes ago, was somewhat quite nervous today and it was worst when the lady on the other side spoke so fast with a strong accent and I was seriously struggling to understand what she was saying. Plus, her line was bad and there were interruptions halfway during the conversation. Stress! But am so glad for the opportunity and glad its over now:)

Now my holiday begins:))

So I've turned 23.

Was looking forward to being 23 on the 23rd when I was younger cause it has sort of been my favourite number.

But if you asked me weeks or days ago, I wasn't really looking forward to it. I'm not at my best point in life but there's a season for everything. It's just a phase of life I'm going through. To be honest, I don't like the idea that I've not been doing anything for many months now. It can be sad and rejections does affect my morale. There would be times when I just didn't feel like doing anything, for days. Not saying I am badly affected by it, but I do have my up and down days too.

Nevertheless, I had a great day, cooked and had dinner with my family:)
My bffffff sent me flowers through the post! Was surprised and didn't react as I should at the door. haha..

I met an English footballer yesterday!

He was sitting at the table across mine and he smiled to me. Naturally, I smiled back without knowing who he is. A few minutes later, he was introduced and I found out that he's Dion Dublin. Apparently he represented England some years ago but has retired now.

He's really down to earth and very tall too. Missed the chance of taking a picture with him:(

I realised that I've not updated this blog much for the past whole year. So will try to do it in a really long post now.

September 2009
Started my 3rd and final year of University.
Was part of the Welcome Crew and I can remember vividly having a Welcome Crew party the night before Uni commenced. Free drinks on the house and we drank the bar dry! I had more than 8 drinks that night and that was only night I went out during my 3rd year. How sad!
Lots of new students and made a lot of new friends:)
Stayed at 60 Colum and I totally enjoyed myself with my housemates, Wan Jinn, Sandra, Adrian, Nath, Johann and Wei Han. We had a house dinner every week throughout the first term of the year ♥

October 2009
Decided to teach Sunday School and had a class of 13 children. They're lovely and all so unique in their own ways. I love them and they make me laugh =D

November 2009
Dont think anything big happened. Was probably busy with Uni and getting ready for winter and winter holidays :D

Then we went to a restaurant along the river and we ordered a lot of food. It was really funny cause we wanted to order more the waiter refused to let us order more. He said it was enough but the boys were annoyed initially. However, after the food arrived, true enough, we had more than enough food and we were struggling to finish them!

I left after seeing this place. I left a day earlier cause I had more exams than the rest. Before I left Portugal, I left my white jacket there! I will always remember that day as it was probably 17C in Portugal but 1C in London. Thankfully I had my earmuffs and gloves with me or else I would be so so cold. Plus, I missed my train cause the queue at the immigration was longer than I expected. But, I was so thankful because I reached Victoria bus station 2 mins before my bus left,pheeewww...

However, as I left before my friends, I got my jacket back!

And we came back with lots of Port!

It snowed a few times in December too, but not on Christmas day:( Climate change!

Feelings and thoughts: Reluctant and sad. But I know leaving is for my own good too. I am aware of all the fun I've had and it's time to get back to reality and do the things I need to do.

Will miss my friends so much, especially Ann. Had a great time with her and Ken during the last 2 weeks. Dunno how to express that feeling of sadness but this is one of the rare times that I'm actually so sad for leaving a place.

Said my goodbyes in church today. But didnt see Brian though... He must be busy writing and hope it goes well for him.

Mandarin Interpreter for a day!

Having being an interpreter for the British Council on the 28th of June, I managed to get the job again, but with the Welsh Assembly Government this time. When Sha Sha was still here, I speak so much Mandarin that I think my Mandarin has improved. But now, being around Ken, Ann and Scott and for the fact that Sha Sha has gone home, my Mandarin has cacated and I cant seem to think of Mandarin terms as quickly as I used to.
Must say I panicked a bit when I got the programme for Wednesday's interpreting session. Prayed and did some homework before I went to work. 0.0

So Wednesday came and I was so thankful that everything went alright that day! Felt so blessed cause the delegates from China were so nice to me. There were 3 of them, the leader is the President of the Examinations Authority, and there was his assistant, a lady and the Vice Director of Section One Test. We first went to the Welsh Assembly Government and met 3 important people there. Of course, there were a few times where I did not know what word it was in Mandarin and so, I explained the rough meaning and the VD helped me find the term in Mandarin and explained it to the President. During lunch, I had to translate asparagus in Mandarin but I told them I have no idea what it is in Mandarin. When the Asparagus salad was served, the Chinese delegates told me what it's called in Mandarin. *fail* Not only did they not scold me, they even said I did a good job and gave me a little fan:)

I learnt so much that day. Improving my Mandarin was one and understanding how China Chinese people speak. Eg, Malaysians would read 20% as　二十巴仙　but China Chinese would say 百分之二十. Plus understanding the examinations system in both UK and China was like an educational trip to me. I really think that UK has a very good educational system. Wales has a qualification called 'Welsh Baccalaureate'. When I heard it, I was impressed and thought our beloved country should give it some thought or most schools could introduce some similar form of qualification.

Welsh Baccalaureate is a qualification equivalent to one A-levels A grade or 120 UCAS points. It doesnt have any exams but a student has to achieve 6 certificates in Information Communication Technology, Application of Number, Communication, Improving Own Learning and Performance, Problem Solving and Working with Others. If you fail to complete any of the certificate, you would fail the whole qualification. This qualification requires students to present projects, do 30 hours of volunteer work and gain 30 hours of work experience etc. In a nutshell, I think it helps a student improve their interpersonal skills such as communication, initiative, public speaking, confidence etc. This is so much better than just focusing on academic achievement as all these skills cannot be found in textbooks. But sadly, due to Asian culture, I think a similar sort of qualification will take many years to implement in Asian schools. Even the leader said Chinese students place too much emphasis on getting good grades to enter University. If such a qualification was introduced in China, the parents would be first to object as it would take time away from their child to study.

After visiting Cathays High School, I went to city centre with the delegates and even had dinner with them. We went to Noble House where I was so thankful they ordered 3 non-spicy dishes for me:) I know, I'm such a noob cause I cant take spicy food... Btw, these Chinese delegates are so rich. The Chinese leader was looking for a Channel shop in Cardiff. Channel aint cheap k? One handbag cost around €2000!!! Told him that he would be able to get it in London instead.

I was very happy that night cause I had ice-cream at Cardiff Bay:)) When I first walked into Bar of the Orient, I didnt see the ice-cream booth :( I asked the waiter whether I could buy ice-cream and he said we don't sell ice-cream now but I will get you some ice-cream. Super happy then!!! Movenpick's panna cotta is very good:) But felt silly eating ice-cream while braving the strong wind at Cardiff Bay after that.

Esmond and Rachel were here to visit last Friday till Sunday.
The only few places I could think of was St. Fagans and Cardiff Bay. And so, I went to St. Fagans for the 5th time last Saturday:) I really like the Welsh museum and I always notice something different each time I'm there. This time I saw fresh grapes hanging in the green house and some interesting looking plant. It amazes me that God created so many different plants, of different colours, size, height and texture.

I was really excited when I bought it, especially most, almost all the dishes were doable and fairly simple:)

Till now, I have only tasted Welsh Cakes and cawl(stew).
I've always wanted to try laver bread but when I first saw it at Cardiff Market, it didnt look too appetizing as the seaweed looked gluey.

But after mixing oats and an egg, this is how it looks:

I didnt have the proper flat griddle so had to make do with a frying pan. Hence a bit burnt and less moist than those from Cardiff Market.

Called my parents this evening to tell them that Brian's going to take picture for me on my graduation! :) :) :)

Brian is a very pro photographer who has helped a lot of people capture their best shots during birthdays, graduations and other events. Last night during dinner, Brian offered to help me take some picture next Wednesday! It's so sweet of him cause Brian doesnt stay in Cardiff and he has to drive into Cardiff (30 minutes each trip) and he's in the midst of completing his project and thesis.

When I told my daddy that Brian can help snap some shots after the ceremony, my daddy said all cameras are almost the same >< I replied, but the photographer matters a lot!! A good camera also requires a photographer with good skills. *true right?*
My mummy remembers Brian as the person who took really nice pics on my birthday this year :)

Bottomline is: Brian is a professional photographer who manages to capture nice shots all, if not most of the time! I'm so blessed to have him take pictures for me and my family!! :):):)

Got my marks yesterday and I'm so thankful for my results. It's not so great and it's just at the borderline. Being officially labelled as a CARBS graduate with results I need is indeed by God's grace and blessings.
Having had classmates who has helped me during my 2 years here is definitely another blessing from the Lord Almighty. Thank you Lord!

Got a dress for my graduation last Wednesday. Quite happy with it cause it aint easy to find a formal yet nice dress:)

Was having a dinner with my coursemates and I think my graduation and my wedding and baptism would be and are 3 big days in my life. Had my baptism and my graduation is just in 11 days! Excited yet sad that I would no longer be entitled for student discounts anymore :(

Well, the down side of being a graduate is to be classified as 'Unemployed' ie. me who's not found a job. It's really different to move onto a whole new phase in life. Exciting yet daunting. Mixed feelings in my case. Nevertheless, it's comforting to know that God is there and will lead my paths as I move into a new phase of my life:)

Yay yay yay!!
I'm officially graduating this summer, in merely 2 and a half week's time.

I'm more than thankful for graduating with a 2:1 cause I know I'm on the borderline. God has been good and also to Lily:) Still looking forward to see my breakdown marks though...

Went out for work as an interpreter tonight. (it's an one-off thing) Was at the posh Chinese restaurant, Pearl of the Orient at Cardiff Bay. A group of delegates came from China to discuss some education stuff with Wales. It was kinda cool cause we had free dinner and wine after that. After the guests left, Lik Yi and I stayed back to eat and drink. The manager of the restaurant was really nice, he even offered to warm up the food for us. I didnt think the wine was that good so I didnt have much. Must say that after drinking port, any red wine just doesnt taste that sweet anymore.. Then the man from BC, Gareth was drunk, wanting to drink more and the restaurant probably closed around 12.30am, way past their closing time at 11pm. Lik Yi was still drinking with Gareth when I left and got a cab on the account back home:)

I wouldnt say I'm much of a politics person but currently living in this country, I should know a bit of what's going on now.

So Britain has a hung parliament.
And Britain has a new prime minister, David Cameron and his deputy, Nick Clegg.

Both the top man are pretty young (in their 40s) and I do hope that they do their part to make a change in this country. In my humble opinion, I really think that the great glorious era of UK being one of the world's best country has passed. I personally do think that they're in serious mess this time and the politicians really need to stand in to do something to save this country.

The first and major emphasis on the country's financial situation. So much debt and then tax rates would be increased to raise more revenue to pay off the country's debts. Speaking of debts, as some of you might know, students here are entitled to a student loan for them to enrol in a local university. (Yes, the government loans them money to study and they only pay back when they've started earning smthing like 15,000 pounds per annum) On average, it takes a student 10 years to repay their debts. There's been ongoing talks about increasing tuition fees. But to me, what difference does it make when the government would still be the one forking out those money for students to pay their tuition fees? Wouldnt it be better to introduce a policy that enables students from low income families to be entitled for the student loan instead of everyone? I'm not saying that the locals do not repay their loans but I would think much time and money can be saved by giving out loans to those who need it instead of offering it to everyone.

Another thing in the Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition is to impose a quota on non-EU immigrants. I still want to try to look for a job here after I'm done so I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing.

Looking through the new cabinet line-up, I was surprised to see a Muslim lady in the cabinet. There's 2 lady ministers in this cabinet. But to have a non-White there is just astonishing! I've done a mini research paper on the percentage of female board of directors so pardon me for being interested and surprised with such info.

Many promises made prior to election but we'll see whether David and Nick delivers them. I hope these young leaders have something new to offer for this country!

Today is another of the thousands of days I give thanks for :) God has been so good to my parents and cousin!

Last Saturday, I realise that my parents will be flying over this week. (I knew but it's the bang, they're coming realisation)
With the Iceland volcano eruption last week, it has caused massive air traffic chaos in Europe. The news didnt really bother me until Monday, when news reported that London airports were still closed:S When someone posted 'another eruption?' on FB and MAS's flights on Tuesday were cancelled, boy was I worried :S :S
But but, got an email from daddy this morning saying that they've proceeding with their flight and I was so relieved and thankful to hear that. My parents couldnt be more blessed cause today's flights were the first ones to have departed on schedule.
And my cousin is flying here tmr. I think he must have been more worried cause he has a few interviews lined up on Friday, the next day he arrives.

Now, just a few hundreds words to go. Cant wait to finish my coursework!

I had a pleasant surprise in the post today :)

Totally didnt expect it as it was just a random 'craving' for it.
Some time last week, I was watching the late Yasmin Ahmad's short films. Her Chinese New Year and Hari Raya advertisements are just heart wrenching and touching!
Her 'Tan Hong Meng' film just reflects the pureness of a child's mind.

So after watching those ads, I wanted to watch Gubra or Mukhsin, movies she produced. Asked a friend and he found them on ebay but it was just too expensive. Around $40 if I'm not wrong.
Didnt think about the movies as I had a coursework to do and it kinda slipped off my mind after that..

He left me a msn msg that I should be expecting a parcel soon. Saw a parcel for me when I got home today. When I turned over and saw the description as DVD, I knew that I had a movie to watch:)
BUT little did I know that there were 3 DVDs inside!!!

Yes, I was surprised and touched. It definitely made my day:)

Weekend in the bustling city of London

Went to London on Sunday for a career's fair organized by a number of Malaysian companies. It was held at UCL and Ann, Joanne and I took the 750am bus. It's actually 650am cause we had daylight saving on Sunday, so I'm 7 hours behind Malaysia now.

After a long day without food, Melody, Ann and I went to Hi Sushi at Covent Garden for Japanese buffet. It was good and we ate more than what Wan Jinn's friends usually have..hehe..

We put up the night at Wan Jinn's friend's house. Really nice of them to host us for the night. I even had a fringe trim =D
Had an interview with PwC the next morning at Embankment. Dont think I passed my numerical test cause I didnt finish a lot of questions. But oh well, it's over now.
Had duck rice at Chinatown before coming back to Cardiff on Monday.

The Malaysian Society Cardiff University held our annual Cardiff European Games today. After winning the best society award last year, they sure are raising the bar each time they organize an event.
I was impressed that a lot of Universities participated this year. 38 futsal teams if I'm not wrong. And some flew all the way from France to participate. Quite cool right?

Initially I didnt want to go today. Wanted to do some work but *tsk tsk* went in the end. Wan Jinn asked me to help her to sell food at her stall as Cindy and her were volunteering for the event and Patrick would need a hand at the stall.

The stall sold soya bean and cincau, fried mee hoon and finger food stuff like chicken nuggets, fried wantan, spring rolls and prawn toast.
The soya bean was so good cause it was freshly made!! Good stuff=)
The beans were soaked, boiled, blended, mixed with water, filtered and boiled again. Quite a tedious process but the effort was definitely paid off cause everyone enjoyed the drink :)
So good and fresh that the wife of the Malaysian Students Department's Director wanted to tapao back to London!! She said that you cant get this taste in London!! *such a compliment =D*
So yeah, credit goes to Wan Jinn, Stanley, Yiew yiew and Nath for helping in the process of making the soya bean!!

Yasha was over last night and I took a bit of cincau for him to try. He enjoyed it and at the spur of the moment, he wanted to eat something Asian. Told him that sushi would be closed then (almost midnight) but told him that Wan Jinn, Wei Han, Cindy & Patrick were cooking fried mee hoon. I asked whether he wanted to try some and so Yasha was our first customer!! =D

Our fried mee hoon didnt see well today cause competition was so tight. Our neighbours were selling nasi dagang, nasi lemak and nasi kerbau (smthg like that). Their rice smelt and looked so good... *really yum yum* It seriously draws you by your nose to their stall.
We didnt have such a good time selling at the start but in the end we sold them real cheap with the fried finger food and thankfully, we cleared the big pot before coming home.

The food sale definitely helped polish some of my business skills and I've learnt how to make fresh good soya=)
On top of that, the process of cooking food and making drinks have bonded me with my friends and it was a time of good company & fun!

Yiew yiew has been so helpful throughout the whole food making process. Wan Jinn would have had a harder time without her and Cindy who helped toast the finger food and cut carrots.
2 blenders were spoilt in the process of grinding the beans. Only found out when I got back from the ICAEW talk yesterday evening and found Stan beside the blender all evening long. It was really funny to see such a 'bear' patiently grinding beans next to a small blender.
Wei Han helped to cook mee hoon with Patrick and he came back quite late this morning. Bless him!
And Nath as usually had been really nice and helpful. He helped a bit with making soya, mopped the floor last night and even went there to help today.
Scott and Pearly helped out for a bit at the stall too.
So blessed to have all these ppl helping :) :) :)

Looks very creative to me but someone took credit for something he didnt even do... I feel for that friend of mine who has helped twice and the person took credit for my friend's work. But it's okay, God knows our every action and our reward is in heaven, not on earth!

Today made me feel so old. I felt really tired after it was over.
Is it true that age catches up slowly after turning 21? Lol... It's probably just me.

A doctor told me that people around my age should have at least 6-8 hours of sleep every night. I've always been intrigued by the fact that babies need so much sleep every day. I think they sleep for at least 12 hours but as we grow older, we need less sleep. Will google why but I think only our creator can answer the question.

Just a short update.
This week's my last week of the term. Self declared holiday yesterday and today cause I thought I deserve a short break after my Management Accounting & Control essay which I submitted on Tuesday =) And if I took a break after Friday, it might just be a long long break cause there wouldnt be any more lectures. So I hope I'll get back into my momentum of doing work on Friday. *sure hope this strategy works*

Had tea with Ann, Eunice, WanTing, Chia Chee and Yae Kee this afternoon. Ann baked muffins and mash potatoes. Glad to have spent time with the girls, especially WanTing, who came over after that ♥

I've probably not mentioned who she is but she's one AMAZING girl. I'm very blessed to have her here with me.
I truly admire how she juggles things in life and she's been a great encouragement to me!

And this is Sha Sha. To me, she's one in a million. I've never got along with a China Chinese girl so well before. Not like I know a million chinese girls, but she's just different, 与众不同!
She's going to Egypt with 男人 and LiXue on Friday and that's sure gonna be a torture for me!

I ♥ them both and they mean a lot to me! Cant express how blessed I am to have them in my life!!

I'm feeling quite happy now. Dont think I'll get sleep soon.

ps. I'm happy to be able to type Mandarin words in my comp now. A bit noob but better late than never...hehe..

I dont know why I'm feeling happy now but I sure am looking forward to tmr and Friday and my 3 weeks break =D

This week passed by in another blink of eye to me.
It's been quite a happening week, both good and bad.

Week was well spent doing my tutorials and I finally stepped into Cardiff Castle. It's quite empty inside and I sure think it's not worth the 7.50 quid you pay to get in. And there's like a disco inside too... weird ey? A disco inside a castle...

There's this Uncle from church who had a stroke last Friday. He's suffering from a brain haemorrhage and is in critical condition now. This happened so suddenly and I myself find it hard to comprehend. I remember vividly that he was talking to someone else last week and overheard him saying that bank cashiers dont like receiving so much coins.
And Cherry and Connie's mother passed away very suddenly last Friday.

Life is so vulnerable. We really must be thankful for every new day. His mercies are new every morning=)
I really hope my loved ones would be saved before that unfortunate day!

Another thing is that I've decided to not teach Sunday school for 2 weeks to concentrate on my coursework.
Told my students and they asked why? And the 2 naughtiest ones were super guai.
Some conversations went:'Shut up, this is not an argument class' - super touched.
And both of them tried to control the class for me today.
Now they're making me miss them...

As my title says it, it's going to be the 6th week of my final term of Uni. How daunting it may be.. well, at least to me!

There's 10 weeks this term, and I'm halfway through it. In just another 2 months, I would have finished Uni!! Scary thought though....

Last weekend has been amazing.
FOD was amazing. The cast put on a very good musical.

Ann was usual, was lovely and sweet.

The fund-raising for the new church premise was amazing, we raised way more than we expected. 572 pounds!! How amazing can God be!!

My sunday school kids were absolutely cute and a joy to teach.

I'm sorry but I need to rant here..

I've started my FINAL term of my undergraduate studies.
Exams was bad, felt as if they were my worst exams ever. But it's a good slap in the face, hoping it would wake me up from the fun I had last term and buck up for my final term.

I can foresee a very very busy term because I think I have decided to do a 100% coursework module. It's not an easy module and I think it'll take up a big portion of my social life.

With the need of wanting to do constant studying after every lecture has made me procrastinate on my assignments which I better start soon.

Job applications are on high priority on my list but yet, the fear of completing them and being rejected has been been hindering me to look seriously into them.

For the last few days, I felt the pressure of finishing my work but I couldnt find or just start on them. Not being able to sleep well isnt helping as well.

Plus I'm feeling anti-social now. Too tired to socialise.

Oh the joy of being a student!

Once again I feel so vulnerable at this point of life. But I'm sure God's teaching me smthg throughout all these again. I know I shouldnt be ranting cause I should be thankful for what I have in life cause many other ppl may not be as fortunate as I am like those in Haiti.

Life is often filled with mysteries..

We will never understand how other ppl think nor will someone else totally understand and comprehend things we do or say.. except God of course=)

I've never liked being in the middle, but often I find myself in that position... hmmmm, probably a time to polish my communication skills? Nah, not worth the complications and things which arises with it..

I'm currently working on my worst group assignment ever. There's this uncooperative group member who is enjoys working on his own. Finished his stuff without discussing with us, switched off his mobile when I tried to call, passed us a badly done report with a note saying we can change anything in his work or if not, we can just submit his copy=.='' arrggghhh!!! it's just so hard to work with him...
Plus with the lecturer, I've totally lost my interest in getting this assignment done. Probably you would say who likes assignments? The mood of getting this one done is just totally different... oh well, must constantly remind myself that skills such as problem solving and communication and frustration management is gain throughout this assignment!

It's gonna be December tomorrow! Which means,
1. Term's gonna end in less than 2 weeks.
2. Assignment's due in 7 days.
3. Holidays will be here soon=)
4. It's getting really really cold =(
5. Christmas is round the corner.
6. 2010 will be here soon than we can imagine...

Hi all,

I'm finally back at Uni now!! Started my 3rd year last last Monday and it's a bit scary...Loads of work...bluekk.. Mixed feelings and words cant describe how I feel...lol...

Met a whole bunch of Malaysians during our first Malaysian society welcome dinner last Sunday... So many ppl doing law and pharmacy and 10 students from MARA are doing medicine... Cardiff's Asian population is growing!! =D

Venezia was awesome!!

I must admit that impulse flight buying isnt great but I've definitely learned my lesson..

It all started with me stumbling upon Ryanair's website and found out that they were having a promotion. So I bought a return ticket to Milan but only to find out later on that Anna would not be in Milan cause she was going to have exams. Thus, I decided to visit Martina and Anna in Venice. So glad I did cause I had a great time there :) Was thankful for a good trip and sunny weather!

Venice is beautiful, rich in heritage and architecture designs. However, no green, just cement tiles and water. No car traffic but human traffic.. Well, since young, when I watch movies where they filmed parts of Venice and I just go wow, so beautiful! Yes, wow, it's amazing to be there to see another amazing creation of our Lord!

On the way there, I saw many new modern buildings. In my mind, ermm... that's not what I had in mind.. But when I reached Venice, *all smiles* , a river right outside the train station.

That night, Martina brought me to meet her friends, Dede and Anna(this is a different Anna). Anna's a really sweet girl who's doing languages as well.. She told me a few interesting things ie look at a building. There's usually 3 floors. But when you see a door at the side,
it only brings you to the ground floor only. To get to the 2nd or 3rd floor, there would be another door but somewhere else...lol

This is the clock tower(i think) which collapsed and was rebuilt.. tall high tower...

See the 4 horses there? There's a myth about them...
The 4 horses were once stolen by someone(cant remember who now, think its Hitler). So when the Venetians got them back, the rubies at the eyes of the horses were missing. So at night, the horses would come down and try look for their 'eyes'. But as they were blind, of course they couldnt find them. And at the square, there would be hundreds of lights lit up at night to be like shining rubies so the horses would not be looking for their 'eyes'.

This building has been burnt down due to a fire once but the last pillar on the left is rebuilt according the original structure which has been there since the 1600.

That morning I went around Venice alone cause Martina had exams. I remember Martina saying that she doesnt know where all the University libraries are cause it's complicated there. I didnt really understand what she meant but when I was there, I understood her completely.

There were so many alleys and it's so easy to get lost. I had to ask a number of ppl for the directions to get to Rialto and I'm glad I reached partly on my own;)
But I had a good walk around myself, making my way through random alleys which I didnt know where it would bring me and where would I end up at...

Some of you may know that I work once a week at a restaurant, The Bay at Cardiff Bay.
Every Saturday evening, there's a pianist who plays live in the restaurant and a different guy came to play.

And to my surprise, he was playing Christian songs!! My Jesus, my Saviour; my favourite, In Christ Alone; Blessed be Your name etc.. How amazing is that? Singing praise songs at work!

Again, I'm thankful for this job cause this girl, Tracy from church is working there too! She has helped me so much and I'm so grateful that there's someone to watch over me.

Counting my blessings!!

As my title says, I'm counting my blessings from the Lord Almighty!!

I have always said that sitting for an exam is not just to pass but to do our best and get good grades. But since the start of this academic year, when I did not know what to expect for my exams, in terms or writing style and language, plus it was my first time doing 6 double module subjects, I didnt carry high hopes. All I knew was that I needed to pass!

Although I do not know my grades yet and I dont think they would be fantastic or great, I'm just absolutely grateful and thankful that I passed all my Year 2 modules. Lest the agony of revising over my summer holidays!

A number of things happened this year and I shamefully admit I doubted God's presence at some point but thinking back in the past 2 days, I've realised that He's plans are way beyond what I can fathom.. He's just been amazing!!!

Yeap yeap, as the heading says, my exams are finally over=) Very thankful that I've pulled through the 4 long weeks! Gah.. the agony of waiting and studying while some friends were done since last week and some back home already..

I'm glad they're over and that also means that Year 2 is officially over... hmmmm... if I scrap through the year successfully of course...hehehe... 9 months in Cardiff already.. Feels so fast yet slow too.. Going to close this chapter of life and embark on a new one soon:D

I said:'see you' and M quietly said:'Never again'. Lol, why did I say see you in the first place??!!

Knows it sounds mean but she's by far the most selfish person I've met here. I could go on and on about her, from eating our food and to the tantrum she threw last Sunday with f***-s in it. Poor Martina to get all that but it just portrays her immaturity and selfishness.

But probably I should thank her for bringing me one step closer to getting to know the real world, that there are lots of selfish ppl out there. Nevertheless, I am thankful for my other friends I've met here!

Btw, Martina said stereotype Germans are rigid. *applause* I agree but of course not all of them. But I must say it aint that easy to talk to some of them!

The noise of my door banging against its door frame due to the strong wind woke me up early in the morning.. Weather forecast says that the wind is blowing at 11m/s. Dunno how strong is that but this is definitely the first time I'm experiencing such a strong wind here. Tried locking the door but it doesnt seem to help...

I guess next week is officially the last week of term. There goes my 2nd year of Uni. Cliche but felt like I just arrived not too long ago..

Exams are up next. In 10 days. Would say I'm not sure of what to expect, probably its because the style here is different. Lorraine mentioned on Thursday night, we attend Uni to learn how to think. How to think? Back in Malaysia, what were we taught to do? Think critically? Nah.. You might not obtain good grade unless you spit out the same words as written in the text book. Ironic huh? I'm sure not everyone studies that way, but perhaps in general, most of us were brought up under the education system where scoring in exams matters most.

Over here, you're expected to think critically and evaluate critically most of the time. I guess that explains why most British are involved in research work.
I'm thankful for experiencing a different way of learning. being here is like having a reality check... Cant just memorize, you need to evaluate critically and present your opinion.
But as the saying goes, better late than never=)

Looking at old msges before deleting them, it made me wonder how 'I love you' today can be meaningless or ntg at all the very next day.

I know I was at fault too and you were no lesser than me. I thought time would make you a better person... but prob you're just you.

So many lessons I've learned, God must be center of it, dont let anger get too high up in your head and dont be so naive to believe first's still can last till marriage.. just some of it.

I really do hope you've learned too and the future 'she' would not need to go through what I've experienced. Not saying we didnt have good times, but remember to put more smile than the other on her face.

Father Lord, I pray that this may be your will for us. I ask that You will help us to let go and forget all the hurts and disappointments we had. Though forgetting disappointments are not easy, I ask that you give us the strength to do so. Lord, forgive us for letting You down and I hope we would be reminded in our future relationships, we will always remember to put You first in it, more than where You were in ours.
Lord, I believe you have a plan for every single one of us and may we continue to put our trust and believe you would work for the good of those who love you. Although things didnt work out btw me and him, Lord I hope we do not hold any grudge against each other and may You continue to bless and watch over him.

I guess Martina and I were excited about the match. Well, it's my first time in Millennium Stadium and I wanted to check out the place.

First stop of the day,

SA Brains Brewery

We left our place at 6pm. By the time we reached Saint Mary's Street it was already 6.25pm. I thought we would be late since we didnt know the directions to get there too but surprisingly it wasnt that far from the roundabout at the end of Saint Mary's Street. This is one more thing I like about Cardiff. The destination looks quite far on the map, but in fact, it's quite near=) hehhee.. Lazy me..

There was a free flow of beer and finger food. We just had dinner before we left and I was helping myself with sandwiches and the food there. Martina was amazed at the amount of food I could eat...hehehe...

Then we walked to Millennium Stadium.

The match started on the dot, 7.45pm. British are very punctual ppl. (shame on Malaysians)

Wales aint as good in football as they are for rugby. Wales lost 2-0 to Germany, the 2nd goal an own goal... malu la... Friends said that Germany was playing a friendly game, based on the standard they're known for.

At first I thought the spectators would be rough and it wouldnt be safe. But they were quite proper, except for the F*** word every now and then.
At the match, I got to understand the level of dislikeness btw the Welsh and the English. During half time, there were announcements of the results of other matches between other countries. When the results for England and Ukraine was mentioned, when England was mentioned to be exact, I heard boos from ppl behind me. Wow right? They're sort of supporting Ukraine than a country just next to them.

Nevertheless,it was my first international football match and my first time at Millennium Stadium.
Was quite happy, indeed!

Martina received a phone call on Monday evening and found out that she won 2 tickets for the Wales vs Germany match on wed evening. Anna and her had a drink at some pub and was offered to join a contest by SA Brains. We were both really excited about it, checked how to get there and went to read up on rugby rules.

Then this evening, Martina wanted to check the time of the match and then...............

it turned out to be a football match instead of rugby!! We thought it would be rugby cause we're in Wales, rugby's the major sport here. Major turn down.

And I thought I could cross out another thing of my to do list before I leave Cardiff. Nevertheless, I should be thankful. It's free anyway and its a qualifying match for WC2010. Must be up to standard too and there's a pre-drink session before the match. Aint as excited as yesterday but it would be good. Lots of ppl are going too. Dom, Kenneth, Shaun, Titiana, Sebastian...

Our heart is one of the most essential organ of our body. Life and death comes from it.

After tonight's Christianity Explored, it really struck me that our heart is so so important. Our heart is the same heart that worships God, loves and cares for others yet it is also the same heart where our evil thoughts arise from. Our heart is the root of all sin and it can be so stubborn and hard at times.
Mark 7:20 - 23 says He(Jesus) went on:" What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean'. For from within, ouf of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean'.
In short, our heart causes us to sin. Dont tell me that you who's reading this would be able to say confidently that you've never sinned. No one's perfect in this world and our lives have been corrupted with sin. Look at the world out there..

Our hearts lead us to think so highly of ourselves, making us believe that we can do things with our own strength but deep down, we know for the very fact that we're not able to do so.

Jesus makes it so clear by saying 'If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. Mark 9:43 - 44 We definitely cant cut off our heart but we should take comfort that Jesus is there to forgive our sins and He can make our hearts clean again!

Wouldnt the world be a better place if everyone's heart were made clean again and love overflows from every heart?

A lot of ppl asked how was yesterday?
To be honest, mixed feelings.. Definitely an unforgetable one, with the best of both sides. I guess I got what I expected and some unexpected things. How interesting life can be...

Eric made a video for me with friends wishing happy birthday. But couldnt see the video but only hear till I downloaded DivX last night. My FB wall is flooded with greeting from friends. Feels warm inside to know that they left a post but it's taking forever to reply them.
A number of friends gave me a gift too. Cards and stuff. Didnt expect that though.. This year I had 2 cakes again and 2 watches. I'm loving the watches I got=)

I had a gathering at my place last sunday night. Always wanted to meet up with my friends and thought since it's my bday, no excuse to not spend an evening with my friends. Just wanted to have small gathering and have smthg light but it turned into dinner. Had friends from church over and I was glad everyone had food to eat. Only had pizzas, chicken wings, some finger food, peach crumble and a chocolate fountain which didnt really work. Fellowship was good:) ;)

Everyone would think I would have a blast on my 21st but it just felt so different this year.

Indeed, there were many greeting which I did not expect. What more to say, little presents which I did not expect. Thanks all!

I had a gathering at my place on Sunday night. It was a good night with ppl from church over at my place. Was thankful that the night went well=)

Ironically, I didnt feel that today went well at all. It was another normal day. All I can say that what you expect, you dont get, what you dont expect, you receive. How funny things work in life huh?

Being 21 means that I'm officially an adult. I really hope this year would be a meaningful year and I would achieve a number of things before turning a year older.

Khareeza, Audrey and I went to Dr Corrie's house for lunch after service last Sunday.
Lunch was good and it's always nice to learn what do British people eat and how they cook their meals=)

We went to Roath park after that. Lovely place where parents bring their kids and dogs for a walk.

I had a busy week, cause I moved one tutorial from next week to this week and we were asked to prepare an essay for auditing class. So that makes it 6 tutorials to prepare. Plus, I'm taking part in the dikir barat for Cardiff's Malaysian Society's own Festival of Diversity 6. Requires lots of practice and I dont think I would have time for the other dances. I'm just glad that I'm involved with Dikir Barat=)
Festival of Diversity is a musical play, heard the play's theme is 'Bawang Merah'. No idea what's it all about but am looking forward to see it next Saturday night.

This came in the post but I didnt see when I first reached home. But saw it after I got home from grocery shopping.

I think it's very cute=)

I'm glad lectures this week are over. Had lots of work to do.. This weekend should be good=)

Shi dropped by for a short visit yesterday evening.
Had a good time shopping and catching up with her =)
I always ask her to go grocery shopping with me when she's over. The last time too.. hehe.. But it's always nice to do grocery shopping with someone=)

On the way out to Albany Road, we saw LSing across the street. Of all ppl, him! We went to say hi after we got back and had some free pics taken=)

I left her at home for dikir barat practice while she did some work. John invited us over for dinner last night. Made peach crumble cause they suddenly wanted to eat it. The best one so far, think it's because John's oven is better than mine at home.

Shi got me the watch i like. Saw it since last november but it was a bit exp for me. We shared and paid half each=)

Did some shopping today. Not going to go out anytime soon after today. Busy with work and tutorials. I'm also taking part in the Festival of Diversity. It's a Msian night on the 28th of February 09. It should be a really good evening=)

The Malaysian Society of Cardiff organized a Chinese New Year lunch for Malaysians at a Chinese Restaurant, Oriental Garden at Cardiff Bay. The bus driver must be surprised to see so many Asians on the bus that afternoon. Food was ok, but didnt get to eat ice-cream.

Snow!!

It snowed yesterday! It's so rare in Cardiff cause it's down south and it's quite warm here. Rains a lot here and it sounds really like Kuching=) But of course, no snow back home.

I wanted to print my essay at the Humanities Building last night but I stood at the door, (automatic door) it didnt open and still didnt when I looked up. I looked inside and saw no one. Then I saw a notice:
Library closed early due to snow.

Before that, Alex, Dom and Khareeza asked whether I wanted to join them for a drink but I turned them down. Since the library was closed and when I was walking back from Lidl, I thought we should go to the park. So I called them and we went to the park behind the Main building=) after I got my essay printed out XD

Today I met a friend who told me that in UK, when it snows, there wouldnt be any public services. No bus, no train. =.=
I'm so thankful it doesnt snow as much here and it's pretty accessible in Cardiff=)

CNY 2009

CNY 09 was a quiet one.. It was just another day over here. To add to the fact it was so quiet, Uni started on Monday for me.
Was at Bristol last weekend and I actually saw lion dance at Carbot Circus. Quite excited to hear the drums and gongs playing then=)

Went for Korean BBQ with Audrey, Alex, Dom and Khareeza. Food and company was good=)

After dinner, we went to Tesco Extra to get some grocery. I love shopping there at night. The whole big place is quite empty, with just a handful of customers. I like that feeling where I can just pick something up and say smthg random and there's no one looking at me...hehe XD

Last night I suddenly realised smthg. I always wondered why does God allow the Israelites to suffer and yet delivers them from their enemies, even though they have turned away from God and worshiped Baal and other Gods.
The main thing that struck me was God delivers us from what we're going through. All we need is to humble ourselves before Him and seek Him!

I love it when the first day of the month falls on Sunday. I just like that feeling of looking forward to a new month and its a Sunday too=) Plus, having a good start of the month by worshiping and listening to His word makes it better!

The weather has been so so good for the past few days. Doesnt make it seem like it's winter at all, looking from the window inside the house =D
It's been very sunny!! Yay, lots of sunshine=) My room gets lots of sunshine in the morning, so it makes my room quite bright. I realised that I've never posted a pic of my room but here is one, looking out of the window in my room.

I finished the last of my 2 exams yesterday. Yesterday's taxation was good but company law wasnt that good. One more week before Uni commence again... That'd be when most ppl will be home, celebrating CNY.
Christmas over here is equivalent to CNY back home. But British food aint exactly that nice=p
I would like to eat bak gua, just that.....

It's the 7th day 2009 now, which means that there's 358 days left for the year.

This year is the first time I started off the new year by just reading and studying. Feels quite weird.. Cant really explain that feeling but it's just a new, yet foreign and weird altogether ...

I realised that I'll be missing CNY. First time in 20 years of my life.. Now I understand the feeling of those who are overseas... In my case, the first day of the new term falls coincidentally with the first day of CNY. How great!!

Happy New Year friends!!
Celebrated New year by watching a short display of fireworks near City Hall with friends, Audrey, Dominic and Alex.
First time spending a new year away from Kuching... Funny enough, I didnt feel anything when the clock struck midnight and the fireworks lighted the skies. Thought of Sean and Carey and how we were in the car in the middle of no where during the past 2 new years..

Looking back on 2008, I must say I'm so thankful and grateful for everything that has happened. I'm looking forward to what 2009 has for me. Waiting to experience what God has planned for me=) May all of you have a splendid and blessed 2009.

I've always had a thing with having afternoon nap, or naps in general. Somehow or another, I would always be waken up by a phone. The last phone call marked the 3rd call in 24 hours. Sounds quite sad, but it was good to hear from Sean, Toh, Vanessa, Carey, Gary and Weena. But it sounds quite wrong when you're half awake and then Sean asks, What are you wearing now?? =.=''
Slept early last night cause i was tired and wanted to wake up studying early in the morning instead. Went to bed around 10pm but another phone call woke me up at 11pm. =.=
Cant blame Lip SIng for this one cause he was arranging transport for today's lunch.
Came home from lunch at harry's house and I decided to have a nap. Dr Corrie called this time. And Hui Ann too... Guess that wss wake up call...

Eric says I need to switch off my phone when I nap, but what if someone needs to call me. Urgently? Quite mean too... Oh well, my 'luck' with having afternoon naps.....Lol

After Church, some of them had a potluck lunch at someone's place. So Alex brought Dominic, Audrey and Me back. The Mackintosh was opened but when we asked, they were only selling drinks not food.
So we came back to my house for lunch..

After dinner, Dominic took me to City Centre. We wanted to see how Cardiff is during Christmas Eve.... It was just like a ghost town. It was so quiet.. Quite unbelievable. Cardiff's a student town, it becomes very empty during holidays.
We saw a number of homeless ppl on the streets.. Dom told me about Street Pastors and how they give free hotdogs and minister to the the homeless..

I feel that this semester has gone just like the wind.. Didnt expect it to go by so quickly like this. It's less than 3 months since I got here and now, it's the last week before I have my Christmas holidays.

Everytime when my semester ends, I tend to ask myself what have I done or achieved this semester? hmmm... I have to admit that I'm behind in certain subjects and I hope I'll be determined to catch up this Christmas break.

Had a Malaysian Mealtime with the Hall group 3 Mondays ago. 50+ ppl turned up and it was good=)

Attend the Christian Union Houseparty 2 weekends ago. We went to Hebron Hall at Dinas Powys and it's like a mini resort, with dorms, activity halls and rooms. There was even an indoor swimming pool and basketball court there. The theme for the weekend was about Holiness. Reuben from North Ireland shared the message for 4 sessions.
I like the point when he said, we should pursue holiness and not just turn away from evil. If you turn away but turn back to see what's behind, evil will still be there.. Thus, flee from evil and pursue holiness.

There were around 130 ppl there.

Monday was such a busy day to me... Had to submit my Law of Banking, Commerce and Investment essay. Glad it's over now.
Was looking forward to Monday night. Hall group had the 2nd Go Week. We voted and went with Malaysian Dinner. I invited my housemates and 3 of them went with me. Martina would have gone too, if she didnt have Russian class that night. To be honest, I was a bit doubtful when i invited them but I was really excited when they said yes.

I didnt help cause I had my essay to finish during the weekend and the Malaysian Leadership Conference was on the previous weekend too... Hannah Iqbal and Owen helped cook. Three of them cooked for 51 person. 51 - 22? = 20++ friends.. Pretty exciting evening=) Hope they went home pondering on the short message Mark and Tony shared.

Would be away for Houseparty with CU this weekend. Quite excited about it:)

Another week's gone... This week passed pretty fast...
Autumn's making the trees bald...

Had friends over for dinner. Potluck style. Was amazed that 4 dishes with rice could feed quite a number of ppl.
